Our Rules and Regulations

It is a mandatory for every student to read thoroughly the following rules and regulations being laid down by the Seminary authority. If he/she is found breaking the stated rules, a strict action will be taken by the authority accordingly.

  • The HBS is aware of the different versions of the Holy Bible that are available today but we use the KJV as our text book in class rooms and reading in church. However, students are allowed to use other versions of the Bible for their personal reference only.
  • Punctuality is very important to achieve our purpose and goals. Therefore, every student of the HBS should strictly maintain punctuality in everything.
  • No Student is allowed to stay back in the dormitory/hostel during class hour.
  • Someone had said that “Cleanliness is next to godliness”. Therefore, every student isencouraged to take the responsibility to keep the hostel and their class rooms neat and clean. There will be time to time room inspections by the authority of the HBS and prize will be given to the best room.
  • All the students must attendstudents’evening devotions.
  • All the students must attendthe following programs of the Mountainview Biblical Baptist Church, Babubasa:
    • Sunday Worship Services
    • Youth Service
    • Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer meeting
    • Cottage/House Fellowship at the believers’ residences, etc…
  • All the students must involve in weekly evangelism and practical ministries. No student will be given a graduation without fulfilling the practical ministry as required according to the academic program.
  • No student should go out of the hostel campus without the consent (permission) of the Warden/Concern authority.
  • In case of any sickness, a student should submit a leave letter to the Dean of Seminary before the class through the hostel monitor and also inform the matter to the hostel in-charge immediately.
  • If any student is found using unwanted substances such as drugs, tobacco, chewing of pan, gutka, alcohol, smoking cigarette etc., he/she will be expelled immediately without second chance/without any explanation call.
  • It is a mandatory for all the students to be in the Library during the library hours and when there are off periods.
  • Every student must maintain proper spiritual relationship with God in order to grow and mature spiritually:
    • By reading the Bible regularly;
    • By living a prayerful life;
    • By giving due respect to teachers, staff and others;
    • By maintaining a mutual relationship with his/her fellow students.
  • Students will be allowed to use their cell phones only on weekends: (on Friday after class to Monday morning before class). The students must deposit their cell phones in the President’s office. During the week days, the Seminary will avail pay and use phone in the hostel campus for the students.
  • Fist fight amongst the students will be seriously dealt which means the student will be asked to leave the Seminary immediately without a second chance.
  • Pocket money, traveling and medical expenses should be borne by the student or the sponsor body.
  • The Seminary authority will not allow to form a student body/union for any cause such as to protest the administration of the institution/challenge the administrations, etc. however there will be several committees such as prayer & mission committee, sports committee, etc. a Professor will be assigned to each committee as advisor.
  • Students are not allowed to use private internet in the hostel but the Seminary will provide the internet facilities for study purpose in the library at certain allotted time only. If any student is found using the internet in the hostel a severe consequence will be imposed upon such student.
  • Cell phone and Laptop recharges:
    • i. Any student using cell phone must be registered in the office by paying a sum of Rs.300/-annually in advance as power consumption fee.
    • The private personal computer or laptop owners must be registered in the office by paying a sum of Rs.1000/- annually in advance as power consumption fee.
  • Late arrival:
    • Students who arrive late for the first twenty four hours will not be charged any late fee.
    • Studentswho arrive after the first twenty four hourswill be charged a sum of Rs.500/- per day as late fee.
    • Students who arrive after seven calendar days must pay a sum of Rs.2000/- as readmission fee in order to be able to continue the studies.
  • Dress Code:
    • Every student must wear the prescribe uniform of the Seminary except Wednesday.
    • No student is allowed to attend the classes with bathroom slippers.
    • No male student will wear long hairs.
    • All students must wear formal dresses on worship services of the Mountainview Biblical Baptist Church.
    • No male student will be allowed to wear ear rings as modern day’s fashion.
